Non-disabled riding lessons
Our riding lessons are designed to meet the capabilities and goals of riders. Our lessons are charged on an hourly and half hourly rate.
These lessons are group sessions for complete beginners, where riders can experience being on horseback in a relaxed, safe environment on well trained horses and ponies. You’ll learn the basics from mounting to mastering trot - riding hats are free to borrow, please bring your own boots. There is half-hour and hourly sessions after school and at weekends. Call us to check availability – all sessions must be booked in advance.
Learn to ride courses
These 4 week courses for complete beginners are offered at a discount rate and allow you to learn the skills of riding in a fun, group environment.
There are separate courses for adults and for children, so everyone progresses together, and you’ll be amazed at how confident you’ll feel as a rider by the time you complete the course.
No special kit is required, as hats are available to borrow for free. Please bring your own boots.
Each session lasts for an hour. There are weekend and after school evening courses running throughout the year.
Group lessons are available for beginners up to advanced riders and run all year round at weekends and on weekday evenings. Before you join a group one of our BHS /ABRS qualified instructors will assess your riding and suggest the best group for you. There are also group jumping lessons for all abilities.
To fit in with busy lives, private lessons can be arranged between 10am and 7 pm Tuesday to Friday and on a Sunday.
The Centre provides dressage and show jumping tuition. There's also a cross-country jumping course available for lessons for experienced riders when ground conditions permit.
Lessons are available 10.00am until 4pm Tuesday to Sunday with the exception of 10am until 7pm on Thursday. Other evenings can be arranged.
